Sorry if this has been posted before, or an answer has already been given.

How come that very many UFO sightings are made near Ancient places, digging sites, places that have historical meaning?

Does anyone have a theory on this?

My only theory about that is that most places have some kind of historical meaning, so it's only natural that some sightings would be in places like that.

Perhaps to avoid populated areas.
Why so many cattle deaths.
The saucers hover over them and two days later their dead.
Then they have to be mutilated as a cover.
Over large spaces of unpopulated land as over Texas oil
fields that Bill Lyne first saw saucers are the natural flight
paths.
ED: Ancient places.. by definition or suggestion no one has
been there in ages except now the diggers.

Could it be that there's more tourists at these locations, and more tourists would equal more cameras, and more cameras would equal more photographs.
Therefore it could be argued that UFOs are quite common, and not just at the historical sites, but an abundance of photographs, and not UFOs, are take at these specific locations.

You asked for a theory

ok - first can you please supply some statistical data to co-orberate the claim that ` very many ufo sightings occur near digging sites and places of historic significance ` ?

because - to be blunt if you dig deep enough [ pun intended ] every where is " near " a site of historic importance - in some context

sucessive civilizations have occupided the same spots for millenia - because they had rescorces [ ie fresh water , access to the sea / navigable rivers , mineral wealth , defensive positions etc etc ]

in the UK / EUROPE many current towns can be traced back to pre bronzeage and even earlier setllements

even in the USA - colonial tradig posts sprang up alongside existing indian settlements - then grew to become towns - then cities

also - see the point raided up thread by daisy-lola :

` historic sites attract tourists `
