True but...

You seem to want to gloss over the very real discontent of the average Iranian. All's not right in Paradise. The Persians are not stupid. They overthrew a US supported puppet government. They'll overthrow another one [Even their own] if it's not what they want.

Iranian reformists have used the funeral of a senior dissident cleric, the Grand Ayatollah Hosein Ali Montazeri, to revive the protest movement which sprang up after election in June. There have been reports of fierce clashes between police and mourners in the holy city of Qom and assailants on motorbikes, who the protesters say were members of the security forces, attacked the car of the opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi shattering the windows and injuring a member of his entourage.

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Members of an Islamic militia and "plainclothes men" attacked the home of a senior pro-reform cleric, Ayatollah Yusuf Sanei, in the holy city of Qom on Tuesday, a reformist website said.

The Norooz site said attackers insulted Sanei, beat up some of his associates and broke windows. There was no immediate official comment.

As per usual , the "let's have another war" crap , is being laid on ,

thicker and thicker . 99% of people are truly sick of that BS.

What we need is a cage wrestling match for the 1% ,

with free tickets and rotten fruit for the expected 99% audience !

Iran has militias fighting in Yemen. Iran has been sending forces to incite civil war in Iraq.Iran has been supplying funds, arms, training to Gaza to fight Israel. Iran is funding Hezbollah to disrupt the Lebanese native government and supplying them with missiles to aim at Israel.

Iran consistently threatens the impending destruction of Israel, has financed destruction of Jewish property as far away as Argentina, has sponsored Holocaust Deniers and forums for them.

None of these actions contribute to the well-being of people living in Iran. The Iranians are rejecting these actions in increasing numbers.

Somehow some claim the US, Israel, CIA, Britain are pushing for a war.

But that Iran is doing nothing to provoke one.

Here is an important news which came yesterday but got away unnoticed

Iran says foreign nationals among protest detainees

If true it raises serious question why were there foreigners among protesters specially at the time of violence?

The Crisis is manufactured by the EU, and is oriented against the US primarily, but also against the middle east in general.
Israel mostly bluffing, would be bombed to oblivion. US has nothing to gain, unless getting its ME bases destroyed by a rain of Iranian missiles can be called a "gain".

I don't see anything new in your post.

I'm more interested in why you personally support Iran? Why do you oppose the citizens of Iran rising up against their oppressive government and why do support Iran's retaliation against them?

Why do you think it is a good idea that Iran develops nuclear weapons? It is not conjecture anymore since they stopped even pretending to hide it.

If we are supporting those inside Iran who want more freedom and fair elections, good deal, do more of it. If it defuses the ticking time bomb, even better.

The sooner the people of Iran are freed from Sharia Law the better for them and the world. As long as they remain as they are, they remain a danger to the world. Not everything we do to influence other countries is bad. To even suggest that is propaganda and disingenuous.

The US government frowns on domestic protests within our own country and they launch disinfo campaigns to shut them down or hijack and redirect them. So, it would be hypocritical to support them in other countries when they are for them.
