All your science, all you knowlegdes, goes in the waste bin.

Yes : maybe we create the science in a non real point of view.

What would you say if to find 6 we don't say it "3+3" : but an other calculus.

This is what is the "new kind of science".

In May Stephen Wolfram launched WolframAlpha, which he describes as an "answers engine". Unlike web search engines, WolframAlpha doesn't try to return relevant web pages to a particular search term. Instead it treats your query as a question and attempts to compute an answer using its massive and growing internal databases.

"It's completely different to a search engine. It's a much higher bar to say 'we want to get the answer'."

Whilst he continues to iron out the glitches in WolframAlpha, the physicist is continuing to work on his unifying theory of everything by way of cellular automata. I ask if he's disappointed that his old academic colleagues didn't take to his idea more openly. "I think I perhaps had a higher opinion of a lot of science and physics types than I should have done," he says. In spite of the negativity, we might not have to wait that long for the final verdict.

Wolfram claims to have already found a model which describes the universe, even containing something that looks like general relativity. "I would give myself even odds of succeeding," he says.

What are the risks !

The 'problem' of the theory of wolfram: this is equivalent to the darwin's theory evolution

It's a bomb (atomic): especially in the dissenters: and there even among scientists.

What if the reality (the physics, the quantum rules etc), and the DNA ( the society, you behavior) is in fact a "cellular automata".

What if you can predict the world, the universe, and all behavior !

THINK ABOUT IT !

Where is your freedom ? If the corporate systems used it on the society they will control it : If it has been allready done by ET's : WE Don't have any chance ! Our destiny is allready totally writen : OHOH : this is the risks. (The last book of the serie dune finish with this RISK : have we just on chance to go out of the "systemic" control of the society : or ET's ?)

The society ( and you) can repeat the same mistake with for example Darwin's theory: creating social Darwinism: and some form of capitalism and perhaps even industrial society based on TOTAL CONTROL (totalitarism : like hitler's society),and the eugenics and other sugar thing (irony).

A theory is as dangerous as any tool in the hands of men: a tool is neutral: it is the use made of it that is dangerous, but the danger is also in the use of this tool (this possibility) you are the technology we use : in whose hands will fall this new science? (In the present state of society)

A cellular automaton (pl. cellular automata, abbrev. CA) is a discrete model studied in computability theory, mathematics, physics, theoretical biology and microstructure modeling. It consists of a regular grid of cells, each in one of a finite number of states, such as "On" and "Off". The grid can be in any finite number of dimensions.

cellular automaton passed the turing test !

If you can define the world, the society, the universe since the big bang with "cellular automaton" : there is no real freedom : this far worse than today science : you know with statistic you can allways think that you have allways a chance.

But think about it : there is no more FREEDOM.

And this way , with cellular automaton : you don't need a computer the size of the universe to calculate the universe !

Really dangerous !

Wolfram Classes

Stephan Wolfram, in A New Kind of Science and in several papers dating from the mid-1980s, defined four classes into which cellular automata and several other simple computational models can be divided depending on their behavior. While earlier studies in cellular automata tended to try to identify type of patterns for specific rules, Wolfram's classification was the first attempt to classify the rules themselves. In order of complexity the classes are:

* Class 1: Nearly all initial patterns evolve quickly into a stable, homogeneous state. Any randomness in the initial pattern disappears.
* Class 2: Nearly all initial patterns evolve quickly into stable or oscillating structures. Some of the randomness in the initial pattern may filtered out, but some remains. Local changes to the initial pattern tend to remain local.
* Class 3: Nearly all initial patterns evolve in a pseudo-random or chaotic manner. Any stable structures that appear are quickly destroyed by the surrounding noise. Local changes to the initial pattern tend to spread indefinitely.
* Class 4: Nearly all initial patterns evolve into structures that interact in complex and interesting ways. Class 2 type stable or oscillating structures may be the eventual outcome, but the number of steps required to reach this state may be very large, even when the initial pattern is relatively simple. Local changes to the initial pattern may spread indefinitely. Wolfram has conjectured that many, if not all class 4 cellular automata are capable of universal computation. This has been proved for Rule 110 and Conway's game of life.
