Ok, I had to post this because it's been on my mind forever...

What does the song Fireflies by Owl City remind you of? I know I always think of NDE expierences, and the natural beauties of life. It makes me want to live every do to it's fullest. The song lyrics are very open to interpretation, so everyone probably has their own opinion.

Mods, I'm sorry if this is offtopic, or in the wrong section. Please move it, if need be.

I don't know. I don't really like that song, I like music that sounds better the louder you play it.

It reminds me of "One-hit Wonder". It's a girly, feel good, bubblegum pop song...reminds me of too many to list.

EDIT: Shamefully, I like it....not love it...but like it...It beats the hell out of paranoid, anti-establishment, angry, been wronged my whole life music.

I actually looked it up, ... and yes, I am that bored.

This song reminds me of Death Cab for Cutie, or The Postal Service.

don't tell me he started another band already.

Good answers, but I was wondering what the song itself makes you think of physically. Like with me, it makes me think of NDE's and metaphysics

It reminds me of a horrible pop ripoff of the Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie.
i.e. Ben Gibbard.

Compare the sounds and tell me that he didn't copy them.

Anyone who listens to indie/alternative music will tell you this is weak in comparison. It is kind of catchy though.

Sorry, that wasn't related at all to anything metaphysical.

Owl city is O.K pop. I prefer Wilco. Sorry, no metaphysics, either.

Sounds like an average pop song. Nothing extraordinary.
