Wow, the most scripted event ever for her... Lame jokes, no absolute attempt at trying to act like it was even a accident. Whoever wrote Sarah's jokes should be fired on the spot.

Shatner of course was as gobsmacked as he should of been (Awesome guy, love Startrek!), and here Palin was attempting to sound like she even knew a thing about Star Trek, let alone attempt to get a good joke off... Which failed miserably.

Im from Aus and Conan is ... Well hes funny, and good show after his predecessor but honestly id have quit watching it there and then for just the tiny segment I saw and how badly made it was. Please, whoever wrote the stupid jokes (Or maybe it was Sarah's total inability to say them in any laughable attempt) please get fired!

have you seen any other politician do this sort of thing on these shows?

they all come off as stiff and rather unfunny.

Im not Palin supporter, but I think its great that she has been able to go on Conan, go on SNL and make fun of herself. Or at least acknowledge that people make fun of her and this is her way of saying it's all in good fun.

Come on...this was a publicity event for her book, we know that...but to rag on her like this...unfair.

Who do you think wrote this bit? Conan's staff. How often do their bits fail? A lot. I still love his show though, because when they get it right, its amazing.

Also, while Shatner's part in it was funny, it wasn't anyhwere near as funny as the first time or two he did it...they were already beating a dead horse.

That's funny stuff. She did great. Comedy isn't easy. It's about timing and she nailed it. I wonder if she had to fight to keep Bill's hands off of her.

It would have been interesting to hear what they talked about backstage, for sure.

Well, she's hot and he's from Montreal. I hope she had Secret Service.

The audience seemed to enjoy it too.

Montreal is a party town. You've got to experience it. It's cosmopolitan. French/English and PARTY. The only American town I could compare it to is New Orleans.

That wasn't bad at all. If I were her, I would have done the classic Shatner dramatic pause.
