IT was like a scene from a gory horror movie.

Animal heads, carcasses and miscellaneous guts spilled onto a busy New Zealand road this morning, sending vehicles sliding and crashing across fat-covered bitumen.

It must have been quite a shock for the drivers dodging severed animal pieces and piles of gore on the highway!

Seriously though I would have had flash backs to every zombie movie I had ever seen and probably freaked out. I'm just glad my job is not to clean it all up.

"It's pretty gross, especially with animal heads and carcasses among the mess," a spokesman for the New Zealand Transport Association said.

"It's not really a good day for my boys."

He said offal spills pose a risk to the public because of the heavy fat content and warned that it would be "a bit ripe" along the stretch for a few days until the bloody residue dries out.

I doubt it unless the road was a pentagram shape and it was about summoning Satan to Earth with a river of blood.
