I guess we all have our outlook on things. You keep referring to Ron Paul but also fall back to the majority of the ATS members in both post accusing them of mental abnormalities is pretty much the same thing as NUTS

You are infering that I think everyone here is a nut. While I am not going to argue with the fact that I think a disproptionately high percentage of this website suffers from acute mental abnormalities, I am not going to sit back and allow you to defame me by saying that I implied that in my first response to this thread when it is VERY clear that I didn't.

Now, reread the entire paragraph instead of cherry-picking the information you want out of it like some kind of third-grader skimming a paragraph for a book report.

I have now CLEARLY INDICATED TWICE that I did not insinuate in my first post that ATS members are nuts. If you are unable to understand simple logical thinking please block me so I do not inadvertantly confuse you anymore.

By nature of this website, the community here gravitates toward people routinely labeled as nuts.

Yeah, that's one moronic way of putting it. Another way, perhaps less idiotic and condescending is to say that we "gravitate" towards people whose point of view we happen to agree with. If the best attack the opposing side has to offer is by labeling those people "nuts", believe it not -- it doesn't actually mean they are in fact "nuts". That's just your nutty opinion, ya see...

While I will not call your attack on my character 'moronic' or call your opinion of it 'nutty', I will inform you that you are actually guilty of doing what the others in this thread have accused me of doing.

Name calling.

Think on that when you are pointing your finger at others.

Dude, stop trying to sound so high and migty, you end up sounding like an ass.

No way, ya think? Hurts, doesn't it?

But hey...at least I'm not kidding myself by denying it!

Again, turning this around on my apparant name calling while I still wait for someone to point out how what I said in my first post was name calling.

To which I am not ever going to get an answer to because it didn't happen.

To end this tangent of conversation in a thread that doesn't deserve this many posts I will simply repeat what I have said before.

Ron Paul is a nutter.

don't forget the other 2 things you said lol

and ATS only falls in love with nutters.

While I am not going to argue with the fact that I think a disproptionately high percentage of this website suffers from acute mental abnormalities

I would quit trying to defend it because your just making yourself look worse

Ron Paul is the man, if you can't handle the truth its ok...

I’d like to address the issue of how Paul keeps being disparaged as an “isolationist”. As if that was such a bad thing. Curiously, he is castigated by members of both the extreme left and right for this stance. It seems they both are willing for us to intervene; but only in causes they find just. Paul is merely saying that, in general, we should mind our own business.

Maybe I missed something, but when did ‘minding your own business’ become such a despicable course of action? I seem to recall, some guy (who may have once, long ago, been considered a great American) warning future generations about “foreign entanglements”. Paul is using that same rationale. At one time that was considered a core American value - but apparently not anymore.

All he is saying, is that there doesn’t seem to be a good justification for this entanglement (which Hillary voted for). And now he wants to know why we should continue this course of action. Seems like a good inquiry to me. But then, I’m an admittedly reprehensible character that tends to have old-fashioned values like ‘minding my own business’ and expects my government to act in the same manner.

His strange views on how the country should be run echo Mussolini in a lot of respects. I know he says he's libertarian, but often his views come across as fascist, xenophobic and intolerant of diversity within the US.

Is this guy for real?

Someone has been watching too much corporate sponsored news. Turn off your TV week:
www.turnoffyourtv.com...

To say that following the Constitution, end perpetual war, to stop spending this country into oblivion, ect, a strange view, is really telling on the state of mind many Americans have. When following the Constitution is some how strange, I can't help but scratch my head and worry for my country.

I always wondered why the law was never taught in public school. I think the ignorant masses who do not know the law and our founding documents will not miss the rights that are taken away if them never knew about them in the first place.

I'm very concerned for my generation to say the least.

"Isolationist" is a term put on Paul by the Mainstream Media. When someone uses this term in referring to Paul, I immediately know that person only gets their news from Fox, CBS, ABC, CNN or NBC.

Oh snap, I should of read a few more posts down and I would of saw your comment. Great minds think alike?

So wrong. He's a NON-INTERVENTIONALIST. That means we trade but do not interfere with the rest of the world's problems. It makes plenty of sense to me. I know that many of you feel we need to mold the world in the shape you see fit...but you do not have that right...nor does anyone else.

How do we he hurt the corporations? TARIFFS. Most large corporations are international now...hell...some are not even here anymore. Jack up tariffs and reform our pathetic trade laws so we can get REAL PRODUCTIVE job growth. Enforce illegal practices by corporations and actually...here's a thought...PUT THEM IN PRISON.

Ron Paul knows that corporations have a stranglehold on our government. Yes, there are some things I don't agree with him on and many of things he'd like to do could not possibly happen as Congress would not go with him on many things.

That being stated, I believe Ron Paul is an honest man. I also believe Bernie Sanders (Sen), an independent socialist, is also an honest man. These 2 guys agree on more things than you would think which is saying something as they are both considered to the far edges of their party.

The claim that Ron Paul is an isolationist is among the stupidest possible claims. Its kind of like claiming Obama is a peaceful man and handing him the Nobel peace prize.

Bush & Obama are isolationists. They spend their days making enemies and reducing the number of freinships with the United States. Bush & Obama spend their days putting up trade blockades so we can't trade.

Ron Paul talk all day long about how important it is that we be more friendly with other countries and need to increase trade. That is the opposite of isolationism.

I guess black is white and white is black to you. I'm insulted I have to spend time read such ridiculous drivel.

All I have to say about Ron Paul-you are the President in the Utopia I envision.

As for the idiots out their in the US of A, I believe we should have a 10 part test for anyone that votes.

1 point out the state you live in
2 what form of government do we have
3 is it in the constitution that you have the right to free health care
4 is it in the constitution that you have the right to free tv's
5 is it in the constitution that you have the right to free money
6 is it in the constitution that you have the right to free anything
7 is it in the constitution that allows banning of plants
8 is medicare free
9 is social security free
10 2+2=

And be assured, 20% of the electorate would be tripped up by question 4

Right there would take care of all the fracking idiots, and our country would recover after the first election.

yes I remember this video too
I was duped into voting for him in the last election, or was I? There is so much information regarding hidden agendas that is is hard to discern the truth.

After the election I saw the "hand-sign" video and was disappointed but not surprised. Very few congress members and other politicians are not compromised in some way.

Paul: "Do you agree with the Bush Doctrine?"

Clinton: "Gates did good. He made the distinction that there's preventive war and preemptive war. What Bush did was preemptive war, what we're doing is preventive war. There are times when preventive war is appropriate, like the one in Afghanistan.

Paul: "But we weren't attacked by Afghanis."

Clinton: "That's not true. They were harboring Al-Qaeda and we had to go in and destroy that support network."

[End of alotted time]

But here's some information left out:

1. Taliban in Texas meeting with Enron for pipeline deal in 1997 - news.bbc.co.uk...

2. Negotiations with Unocal and Taliban for a gas pipeline fail, possibly leading to the 9/11 attacks - dir.salon.com...

3. Bin Laden met with CIA agent in Dubai hospital in July, 2001 - www.guardian.co.uk...

4. Bin Laden escapes due to Rumsfeld's refusal to send reinforcements - rawstory.com...

5. Bin Laden dead in December, 2001 - www.foxnews.com...

6. Fewer than 100 Al Qaeda members left in Afghanistan - www.foxnews.com...

This war is profit vs. ideology. There's a reason it's called the graveyard of empires; resources (soldiers/money) are finite, ideology (radical Islam) is not.

Hmm I love Ron Paul but I would urge you not to buy so deeply into him... hes got everyone eating out of his hand for being truthful on some things, who knows if he will lie about something else?

Do not just support him because you like what you're hearing! Do independent research! They say if you want to control the opposition, LEAD IT!

If he can be/is corrupted, he will be a VERY dangerous man!
