Can someone tell me what this means in masonry? Secret number I guess. I had a mason tell, or should I say, ask, 'one point eight?'.

After looking around I discovered at the time that there were around 1.8 million masons in the US. That might be it.

Google only gives up that there are 1.8 million members.

Nor did I find any solid references in relation to sacred geometry.

I haven't come across that number in any of my Masonic studies (blue lodge + york rite).

It does sound like some sort of sacred ratio or something.

Where did you come across it?

Maybe the OP can give a bit more insight as to the context of the question or why they need to know, it might be misquoted or misheard.

might help us to help OP

I was looking into the Golden Ratio, but it's 1.61blahblah.....

I was also trying to think of how it might relate to the pythagorean theorem that we hold so dear as Masons...

my head hurts...

Thankfully I had a nutritious breakfast of excedrin and lucky charms.
