3D tour in Danish Freemason Grand Lodge

Danish Grand Lodge opend the doors to Danish National Television trying to be a little more open en welcomming to the danish society.

A 3D tour in most of the big Grand Lodge building in Copenhagen were made, and you can go for a tour too.

Unfortunately its all in danish, but just press the white arrow on the picture to move around, and use your left mous button while rotating for a 360 degree view in the rooms.

What a lovely building.. it remindes me very much of my Home Lodge.

In America we call buildings like that Masonic Centers .. usually they have a few Blue lodges, a Scottish Rite Auditorium, which is the center point of American masonic centers, I didn't see one in this Danish one. It also usually has a room for the Royal Arch, York, and many other side rooms. The building my lodge was in was built in the 1920's and even had "Ladies Parlors" lol... I doubt very much that they have been used since the 50's.

Heres a little info on the building:

The construction started in 1923 and the house opened 1927
Built-up area is 3.478 m2
Floor area 13.515 m2
Contains approx. 335 rooms
Six floors, 2 in between floors and 2 basement is going 7 meters in the ground (about 28 feet)
The house rises 20 meters above street level
The two pillars on the facade is 16 meters tall and weigh 72 tons each

I am not a freemason myself (yet ) and know therefore whether there are a scotish rite auditorium.

Yes I think its a nice builiding too - I would become a freemason just because of that

Ha ha - yeah the fast-foreward is a funny thing they have made.

I think its nice that they in that way have oppend their doors to the public for at least some of their rooms
