I just realized something.

...technically...(literally)

When you have the technology..what prevents a civilization from.. "moving planets" into habitable star zones...by adjusting their orbits..and then terraforming them..

and colonizing allover the galaxy?

...seems logical to me.

According to Dr Michio Kaku ,we would need to be a type 2 Civilisation.

I`d hazard a guess that by the time we were capable of "Moving Planets" , we would essential have very little in common with what we now regard as `being human` .
Surviving long enough to even accumulate such knowledge, will be a feat even greater than rearranging the position of planets imho.

We will achieved Type 1 around January 2015.
Type 2 will take another 10 years.
It's just technology.
We are sitting on it right now.

I am sitting on it right now?
(Rockets come out of my chair to propel me into outer space)

I think it would take longer than 10 years, though the population "epidemic?" could speed the possibility of bringing ideas like that closer to fruition. I think the next big step for us is to build a moon base. (If there are not already bases and giant monsters there)
