This clip is from Maxine Waters and was just about a year ago now. I remember at the time, all of the liberals on know and on various forums, they said "This would never happen. Obama would never take over any industry." Well now we know the playbook for many of the far left liberals. So far, I would like to clarify at this point though, that I do know many Democrats do not support these sorts of policies. This is more of commentary about the fat left that know controls the White House and Congress. Not all Democrats.

So far taken over industries include:

Banking - 7 of the largest banks in the world are now basically controlled by the US govt.
Insurance - The US owns the largest insurance and derivative writer in the world.
Car Industry - No explanation needed
Mortgage Industry - They now own and are the biggest loan originator in the US.

We now know they are attempting to take over the healthcare industry, and eventually the oil industry. Can't everyone here imagine oil spiking to high prices again, and liberals in Congress demanding that oil is taken over by the govt? We are seeing govt attacking media and requesting certain types of coverage and policies from media outlets. Even volunteer organizations have in effect been controlled by govt through what Obama's govt will and will not support and fund. None of this should be a surprise.

We were given a glimpse of what was to come with this commentary, and Obama's during the campaign about 'spreading the wealth around'. Now for those that do their own research, we can see what is happening with Obama surrounding himself with so many admitted socialists and communists. I am not saying Obama is a socialist or communist. But at a bare minimum, many of his beliefs, intentions and policies are.

I think what gave it away for me was the hole change thing and the TARP and the Bailout and the common sense that flow out of DC

Change isn't a bad thing. But America will not stand for the sort of change where govt controls everything. He campaigned on transparency and honestly and has been neither. Every honest Democrat I know admits very freely that he has been a disappointment and ended up lying like every politician. But we cannot let our country be taken from us from the far left. Or the far right for that matter. But its the far left thats the danger at the moment.

Ya I saw that.

I do wonder though where all the liberals are that will usually defend this sort of thing and make excuses. Where are all of them?

Everybody is looking for martial law to be declared as the catalyst that pushes the US to revolt --

I say it's already happening. Obama is surrounding us from the outside in. By the time martial law is declared, people will be begging for it.

Now, there's talk of a bailout plan for small businesses. Like that doesn't have enough wiggle room for Obama to completely control the financial landscape of the country. Cherry-picking which small businesses receive funds and which ones don't -- this can not even be construed as anything but abuse of power.

I believe we are in a free fall and that the passing of healthcare reform will be "game over". Not because I don't think we need healthcare reform, but because this current administration has not proven to be successful at running anything. Healthcare is just going to be one more drain on the economy. Obama will spare no expense to try to make it a success story, all the while NEVER factoring in the people that have to pay for it -- and have no money to do so.

As far as the post that says "Americans will not allow the government to control everything"....I say: too late. The government already does.

Think about it this way: If the government picked up and moved to China and took with them every single business they currently own -- would there be enough businesses left that would allow the US to continue to function -- I say no way.

I sit here day after day in these threads and wonder: What is it actually going to take for people to realize that Obama has systematically destroyed this country and placed us at the mercy of the world?

You can hate Bush all you want. You can hate what America was doing while he was in office. You can call him every name in the book from murderer to buffoon. But I will say this: At least under Bush I was never worried about waking up and finding out that the American flag no longer exists.

Don't get me wrong -- I hated Bush. But the longer Obama is in office the better he starts to look.

Great post. I always get so frustrated when people assume that if you criticize Obama, you must have loved Bush. Or if you are Conservative you must have loved Bush. I am conservative and honestly couldn't stand the guy after a few years. He talked like a conservative, spent like a drunken liberal and weakened the constitution like a communist.

Its amazing that because Obama speaks well, they assume his policies must somehow be good. I have no clue how they make that logical jump. You ask you what they like that Obama has done, and they can't name anything. If they try, they name things he said he was going to do during the campaign but hasn't since he's been in office. If they say that he's helped the economy, you ask how has he done that and they don't have an answer. They just figure that since they see him on TV everyday saying things are better and waging war on anyone that disagrees with him. Very sad state of affairs.
