Discovery of 32 alien planets has been examined recently with a High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher.

These findings consolidate the results of simulations of planet formation predicting a large population of super-Earths

The article has certainly some interesting aspects of the research conducted with a HARPS device, especially since the device was able to discover several super-earths mimicking similar environments to our planet.

Earth is not special. There are millions or billions even of Earth-like planets with many of those having intelligent life.

Could you elaborate?

Evidence of life, where?

Not trying to burst your bubble, but one could only hope that's true.

It was actually 40 planets...not 36

and there was only 1 planet out of the 40 that looked EARTH LIKE, but it was only because it was almost the same size/distance to ITS sun, as we are to ours...

Interesting, if its proven scientifically, I wonder why NASA hasn't said anything about it yet.

Still doesn't mean anything. Earth humans did not see all the planets in the universe and this universe is almost infinitely large and old. The Big Bang and expanding universe is an illusion.

nasa generally say things about what they do. HARPS is a european program.

Dont worry in 1000 days nasa will deliver the biggest exoplanet news in history.

While I agree that the expanding universe, big crunch e.c.t is not 100% air tight...the claim that earth is not special sets me back a bit. Mars is "earth like" but you would die setting foot on it without a space suit due to its atmosphere, radical winds and severely fluctuating temperatures. An earth like planet must fall in a habitable zone to prevent a highly inconsistent environment. You can dispute that by saying that life could possibly evolve in strange enviroments, but that doesn't mean humanity could migrate there and live naturally.
