So where are all our puckheads this year?

Time to get the hockey talk rolling for the 2009/10 season is it not?

Or do we have to wait for Les Habitants and the St. Patricks/Arenas to have a winning record to do so ... cause that could take a while!

So come on in and lets talk up our teams, engage in some friendly ribbing, throw around a few predictions, and partake in the merriment that is NHL hockey.

Oh and ....

GO RANGERS

Oh dear ...

28 first round picks for Phil Kessel?

Thankfully you don't have to play the Rangers again for a while.

First off, the most loyal fans in the entire world of hockey, are the Leaf fans.
Who else could cheer on a team that hasn't done squat since 1963.

Second, what is with you and crying. Enough of the crying, there is plenty of time to keep cheering the Leafs with enthusiasm.

The crying doesn't start until they don't make the playoffs............again.

Sorry buddy, but I'm gonna say it...
CANADIAN HOCKEY TEAMS SUCK...
they just do. I don't care which one you pick. When it comes to sports of any kind, I'm so unpatriotic it's not even funny.
Go figure, my little town should be cheering the Sens, but they go Habs all the way...WTF?
Pffftt...

0-6-1 like a fox. I am also a Leafs fan but this season I'm wondering why? They don't even look ready to compete at the NHL level. And that kessel trade? I thought Ferguson was fired 2 seasons ago? He's still there in spirit.

And I really, really, REALLY want to pull this post back up during the playoffs, and rub it in your pretty little face.

Of course if I'm playing the odds, that is not very likely, but Oh, I can dream.
After all, that is what Leaf's fan's do, year after blessed year.

Also with my track record of the NFL pool, where I am always competing for last place, I wouldn't worry too much.:bnghd:

But I shall be watching, and waiting, and yes even praying, that a Canadian team makes the finals. Just to make you eat those words.

It's so going to be a looooong winter.

It's simple really. Just as I pick the famous "charlie brown" Christmas tree every year, so do I pick the hockey team to root for. I always feel sorry for the underdog, and cheer them on with vigor.

If everyone only cheered for the good teams, what would be the point???

GGOOOOO LEAFS

*sigh..
I haven't watched hockey in years. Mostly because it reminds me of my parents.
When I was a kid I would watch the leafs play. I even wrote a letter to Darryl Sittler when I was about 7, and he wrote back..hand written, hand signed.
Last time I really watched Hockey was back in like 84-85, when I was cheering for NY Islanders.
Tribe..if the leafs even sniff at Lord Stanley this season..I'll personally send you tickets to a game next year. I Promise.

Well the Ottawa Senators (my home team) are starting off pretty good so far.
It was nice to see them whip the Habs the other night.
I think they will make the playoffs but I doubt they'll win a cup this year.
Go Sens Go.

You can see my team by my avatar.

We started out at 4-1 but have dropped 3 in a row now so it's starting to look like the same Kings team for the last 15 years

I just don't get it, we have great defense (on paper) some good scoring forwards and decent goaltending but seem to get discouraged too fast when someone makes a mistake.

Hopefully we can just get to the playoffs this season....please

Half an hour before Rangers - Habs matchup ...

Chissler, GAOTU, how 'bout a 24hr, loser wears the other team's avy side bet?

Edit: Never mind all that!
