'Genuine piece of moon' on Trade Me

Back in 1969, as the hazy images beamed back to Earth from space, Neil Armstrong stooped and gathered some rocks from the lunar surface.

And now, one of those very moon rocks is for sale on Trade Me.

As a billboard for a popular beverage might say - yeah, right.

Nonetheless, some punters are prepared to put their money on the line for this sample of astronomical history.

Bidding this morning stood at $152 dollars.

As the blurb accompanying the auction explains, the seller was a taxi driver in Melbourne in the mid-1980s.

You better be quick on this one only a couple of hundred dollars, considering other samples have sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Buy the way Trade Me is likes E bay in New Zealand.

I wonder if Neil Armstrong has paid for lots of things like this. Like going to the Ford dealership. Even maybe buy a house with 1 gram of rock...

Maybe next week Jack will sell his magic beans....

When I checked the link yesterday there was only one fuzzy image of the supposed rock. I think it was a hoax.
