Is there anyway to prevent dogs(particularly Jack Russel) from shedding there fur. It's bad enough they take a (c) in the house, but the hair just piles up. Is there any medication (anything) to prevent shedding.

My vet recommended a low protein food with no soy products in it. That, regular bathing, and a going over with a shedding blade every couple of days helped our dogs shedding problem 100%.
