I'd agree that as this phenomena is so widespread then it would be hard to explain it away as military in origin. My own feeling is that at least in
cases where the sounds are so similar, it's a natural occurrence. These sorts of sounds have been reported in the past and in fact here on ATS there
are threads about them that go back some years.
Thanks also for mentioning zorgon. I must read up more of what he has to say.
