Many thanks.

When I saw it, thought, dang, now here's something even liberals would understand.

Now, now. Let's not be hasty. Gossip, you know.

Little Georgie Bush travelled to the Crawford lair and then to Florida to visit his brother so much I couldn't keep up with him. Crawford.....Florida......Crawford.......Florida........Crawford........Fl.....

When Katrina hit.....Crawford. On 9-11.....Florida

I don't miss having bombed Iran, yet. Which we would have done if
little Georgie was still Daddy's puppet.

Lady, my deepest respects, your writing is awesome, but this isn't gossip. This is straight from the horses mouth, as it were.

Just pointing out the hypocracy. Nothing more.

gee, i guess the general could just drive his car over to the white house like the SEIU leader could...plus, maybe...just maybe... the president communicates with the generals superiors...you know...LIKE EVERY OTHER PRESIDENT did before him.
and here is a real secret...other presidents frequently talked to labor leaders!!!...wow!!!...stop the presses!!!!

Sure. There's nothing realy there to talk about.

Just a fracking war.

But hey, union people need attention too.

so what, you want the president to fly over to afghanistan every 2 weeks to talk to the general, or just call him all the time, so obama can manage the war from washington.
i think obama has confidence in this general to do his job, and didn't 60 minutes show the general on conference calls with the joint chiefs? plus, obama gets a briefing every morning, so...what's your beef???

Didn't Obama fire McChrystal's predecessor because he thought McChrystal was the better man? And only one talk?

Very succinctly put.

And your signature,

I think everyone's beef (that takes issue with it) is that Gen. McChrystal has specifically stated that they need more troops because they're literally dropping like flies over there.

The prudent thing to do on Obama's part is to have more than one pow-wow with the good general so he'll have a better grasp on the severity of the situation.

After all, Obama said he was responsible for the soldier's over there, and it doesn't seem that he's being all that responsible by not having regularly scheduled conferences with the general HE put there.

I guess making the talk show rounds and schmoozing the Olympic committee are more important. Oh, and the union folk. Seems he feels more responsibility to the unions than our soldiers.

Very easy solution, just tell the president that all of the soldiers over there are from Chicago and he will personally fly over to assess the situation.

I'm not arguing the issue of the war. Just his responsibility for said, war.

The General asks for more troops and the president replies by going to Amsterdam to give the 2016 Olympics a boost.

Yup. There's our commander and chief.

Which means anything that goes Tango Uniform while Obama is in office can automatically be blamed on Bush. "Shucks, it's not my fault! It's Bush's fault!"

BTW, your avatar is freakin' cool.

Oh pu-leeze... A night on the plane, a meeting in Amsterdam in the morning and then a flight back. Quite efficient... Not spending 30% of his presidential time on a ranch like GWB did -- that's already a welcome change.

If Obama was having lunch with the general 3 times a week, you would accuse him of micro-managing and having no confidence in top brass. There is nothing to quench your hate for Obama and I'm sure we'll see more anti-Obama nonsense posted here by you.
