Ode to Crescent Moon
Never have I seen such a beautiful moon
shining in the late September sky
Not a half moon nor that of the full
That it will be soon has ever looked so bright
And made me thankful for the night
In all the glory it leads me to dream
Scapes of grand fantasy beautiful lands
where life is never what it seems
But you are small and in it's hands
living every wonder and possibility
wishing never to wake from the glorious dream.

That is truly a beautiful and heart felt poem!! I, too, love the moon. here is how I feel about this mystical object of the night, that has certainly
held humanity spellbound through recorded history. It has been a source of inspiration for many beautiful songs, intriguing and eerie stories, movies
and beautiful enchanting poems. (like yours)
For me, its beauty is definitely unequaled by any other visible object in the night sky and without it splashing light upon our Earth, we would
indeed have a very dark, gloomy and intimidating world. It never fails to catch my eye and many times I wish upon it like a star.
This magical shining wonder of the night brings us such beauty and with the stars, looking like colored jewels, what a brilliant canopy of light.!! I
feel very privileged to live in such an amazing Universe.
