As evidence of what we've been saying for years now, that scammers can get through the ad networks without the site owners knowing it, here is a story of an ad that was on NYT.com last weekend.

www.nytimes.com...

This doesn't happen often but when it does we really need the help of the membership to remove it. If you experience any suspicious ads PLEASE get a screen shot (hit the "print screen" button on a PC and paste the image onto your desktop and upload it to the media portal) of the offending ad and do your best to catch the URL it redirects to.

Without that information we can't trace it to verify it's the offending ad.\\As time goes on these networks will get better security but the hackers seem to catch up very soon after. It's a tough part of this business.

The Above Network will NEVER knowingly allow any malware or redirecting adware on this site or any of our other sites. It's just stupid and it's wrong period.

Maybe the people who visit that site had malware on thier computer already. The new york times would never allow malware to run rampant, thier readers would have alerted the web masters as soon as it appeared! Those AD's generate money, your all ungrateful!!!111!!!

^sarcasm^

www.abovetopsecret.com... Read every post there and see why no one trys to bring things to the mods attention. Be it other people claiming its your problem and NOT ATS's problem or its lack of attention from the mods because its in the publics eye. People may not be saying anything in this thread for this very reason (if you can't say anything nice).

Just because a big popular site has problems does not mean you should hide it, people know when your big, your a target.
