Are loan modifications working ? 400k qualified but only 100 helped...wth

Out of the 2.7 millions consumers identified as candidates for a loan mod only 400,000 have been converted. Servicers are doing a dismal job in streamlining the process. Foreclosures are still on the rise.

400,000 people have "qualified" for the program but only about 100 have actually received any help since it started. And things are just getting worse.

IMHO...it's on purpose...make it so hard and complicated it has to fail...
