Security activity in central Israel results in highway gridlock

Massive police presence and dozens of roadblocks set up in the greater Tel Aviv area, Petah Tikva and Highway 443 resulted in gridlock in those areas, Thursday afternoon.

Drivers reported seeing mass police presence along these highways.

The Highway Police said the gridlock was the result of security forces operating in the area, but gave no further details.

Ok does anyone know what is happening in Tel Aviv at the moment? I first saw this story as the Headline at Debka.com but they said there is a major security operation going down but so far the operation is under a strict news black out?

I'm very interested to know what is happening... in any other country it wouldn't nececarily be a big deal, but with Israel it's different. That region is so volatile, World War 3 could literally break out in a moments notice.

Does anyone have any more info???

Ok found this link on twitter... apparently there have been reports of a kidnapped IDF soldier... If true then this could be the start of something major.

Still searching for more info... anyone else know anything?
