White House & Big Pharma: What's the Deal?

www.cbsnews.com

(CBS) While much of the health care debate has been carried out publicly, some very private negotiations have gone on too - between the White House and the pharmaceutical industry. So private, neither side will release all the details, yet they potentially involve millions of Americans

Whatever the case, the pharmaceutical industry is now so firmly in the president's camp, it's developing plans to spend up to $150 million dollars promoting it with TV ads.

Obama caught Lying Making Deals with Pharmaceutical Lobbyist

Since Keith Olbermann was so quick to jump on Palin, why doesn't he also jump on this?

Shame on anyone who calls this socialism!
What do you think this is?
This is economic fascism!

It's just too important to distinguish between the two
Why isn't this making bigger news?

Obama needs the big pharma side in order to push the health care reform, he can do with the private health insurance, but can you imagine a boycott of big pharma against his bill?

What a joke, nothing the government do is for the benefit of the people.

The White House is in the pockets of Wall Street and Big Pharma. To think that people were worried about Bush and Haliburton. Ha Ha Ha...

I posted a thread back in July regarding Obama's closed door deals with these corporate giants.

That surprised me, too! Pretty soon, MSNBC will be exposing nasties.

.....

Think just for a second and it will come to you.

Let me help...

How convenient I guess to get "the" "juicey" news i will have to stay awake all night.

Does that make it better for you?

I understand it can be difficult to think when your state Government raises taxes to keep the Mass Pike from raising fares, yet they do it anyway. Trying to convince yourself it is a good thing can be difficult.

Typical lobbying behavior. "Sure no problem. We'll take an $80B hit now, so we will never have to take a hit again."

Are the "biggest lobbyists ever" really concerned about $8B a year for 10 years? What percentage of their yearly profit do we think this entails? Let alone every year afterward.

Again, typical profit-motivated lobbyist behavior, and legislation.

How has this nation survived this long?

EDIT: Clarity, syntax and small addition.
