Are we having a Media Blackout in the UK?

Ive heard rumours about Americans protesting against there government and that they've gotten violent and such, but i haven’t read ANYTHING about it in the papers. Nor have a heard a single story about it on the news (BBC)
Usually when this kind of stuff happens its all over the news, makes headlines at least and i just find its... Disturbing that not a whisper of it has been broadcast or even mentioned in a single paper.

Can anyone confirm? Or even direct me to what the hell is going on.

I can confirm we do not hear anything about such things over here in Holland too.

Actually this is the first time i hear about violent protests in the US against the US Government.

I am very new to posting here and a bit lost on how to actually post links to other threads. But from what you are asking about, I can only assume you mean the whole

"town hall chaos" and the Tea-bagger noise here in the states.

There are many videos on Youtube about American town hall meetings (and the like) going a bit crazy over various issues, namely the new Health Care ideas recently coming out of Washington.

The subject is getting enough buzz over with with all the major news covering it to a point. Lou Dobbs was one of the bigger mainstreame names that covered the story.

Riots? No...nothing like that as of yet.

Noise? Oh yeh...lots.

I just wanted to try and help you find the information. I know how much it sucks to be looking for something with no leads.

So.

Google "town halls gone wild" (thats the first ATS thread I saw covering this).

Also do a search on YT for "Loud Dobbs Town halls"

Both should get you to where your wishing to go.

There are heated protests against the health care bill.

There were violent protests at the RNC last year and the usual demonstrations on a plethora of topics.

If you're not getting the word in Britain and Europe, stick around a bit longer.

With the unions urged to crash and intimidate the elderly protestors, we'll probably have some shooting pretty soon.

Folks are getting very angry at our government, and they aren't listening!

That page is from the 23rd of july. The video is recent, posted on the 6th of august. Our news is saturated with Swine-flu, the econemy, crime and politic's across the world but NOTHING to do with the U.S healthcare protests.

I am wondering why.

Yeah...that video is what I'm talking about. There are many more of those types of meetings going on across the country. You can watch them all if you like, but they are pretty much all the same "for now".

There has been reports of people being arrested, politicians getting police escorts out, shouting and that sort of thing.

Its weird...No one was doing this until it was being fed to "our citizens" through the talking-heads on our God-boxes. Now its running rampant (some say) while others call it an organized stunt from the Anti-Obama crowd within our Government.

Perhaps that is one reason they are not showing it over there?

Anyways...so far, nothing CRAZY in the way of rioting in the streets. If the net still stands when (or IF) such a thing happens over here....you will hear about it here.

People are so brainwashed here in America and probably in Europe too that they think it's futile to fight the government, or they don't even care.

I think there is some credibility to the idea of-

"Many Americans are so brainwashed that they are now being told directly to revolt and fight the government, and they are starting to do so like savages".

Great men warned us all about the tactics being used to create the violence they "need" to move forward with their plans.

Some perhaps lied...some surly died.

I refuse to rise to that tide.
