This pretty much wraps it up. Last week CNN reported that the Pentagon has made plans to deploy troops to assist law enforcement in the H1N1 outbreak...and the "proposal" is waiting on DOD Secretary Gates for approval.

This breaking news article states that The Pentagon and the DHS have already contacted law enforcement agencies about the "interest" in using the military during "emergencies".

So are any of us doubting that proposal will be signed sealed and delivered? They have already made plans, now they are beginning to execute them.

There is no mention still in MSM of the vioation of the Posse Comitatus Act...www.dojgov.net...

Maybe the DOJ thinks that is a myth?

Political strategist Mike Baker is disturbed over this latest “emergency plan” designed to allow federal troops to operate freely within US borders.

“This is a constitutionally unsound development for our nation. While President Barack Obama and his ilk worry about how America’s military is perceived by other nations and are concerned with how we treat enemies, they seem to be willing to use extreme measures against their own citizens. Will we witness another Branch Davidian massacre in the name of ‘emergency response’ or other rationale? It’s not a positive development for this nation,” said Baker.

My thoughts exactly as spoken below by the NYPD Officer Benny Cardoza.

“This is not something we should be celebrating. This is something we as Americans should fear,” states another NYPD officer.

“If states do not have the capability to respond on their own to a hurricane or earthquake, then perhaps they should increase their capabilities or change their leadership,” said Det. Benny Cardoza.

“Using Hurricane Katrina as an excuse to increase federal authority in the affairs of individual states is a sorry excuse and one that should be shunned by citizens and local cops,” states the decorated cop.

star, and flag. I'm glad there are persistent people on ATS!!! It is the avenue for defeating the PTB, and their NWO.

Now, "We The Sheeple" have been the frogs in the frying pan for a very long time. We've all been deceived from birth; the lies go back so far. I'd have wonder how far the PTB will carry their agenda to keep the frog in the frying pan.

The game plan is to simply ratchet up the tension without having us jump, or awake. I'd have to assume that's still the game plan. Sooooo, I'm looking for false flags, wars, or MAJOR SHEEET goin' down to keep us in the frying pan.

This coming major sheeeet is what will be the counter balance to the increase pressure from the PTB.

Star and flagged! Very serious development we have here isn't it? This is unconstitutional and outright wrong. This violates Posse Comitatus which clearly forbids Federal troops from conducting law enforcement operations in the continental United States.

This is a clear violation of the sovereignty of the States and I thought the national guard was used for law enforcement and natural disaster relief? Only the governor of a given state where the disaster took place can authorize the deployment of Federal troops to be used in their respective states if guard forces are over stretched. The President doesn't have the authorization to deploy Federal forces where ever he wishes with out the expressed consent of a states' elected Governor. So I don't know how the Federal government is going to be able to pull this off but just the fact that they are kicking it around should raise alarms.

So be it brother. What kind of Governor would justify a feeble and inadequate police and emergency response force for his or constituents? What citizens would quietly acquiesce as their state becomes a weakling, incapable of serving it's people?

But the Federal government and it's most fervent and active tool, the media, must have you in fear. I suspect they will use every possible angle to ensure that we DEMAND they 'take care of things for us,' as much as we are now demanding the scrutiny of the Fed. Hmmm, it makes me wonder.....

Infragard has signed up many willing bodies to serve in the martial law event. Leadership is already in place.
The effort isn't without warrant. The plan of AQ excalates in 2010 so it's good precautionary measure to be prepared.

Yes...a pathetic way to steal power from the individual states! As far as I am aware, The National Gaurd directive belongs to the sovereign states authority, not the Feds. No wonder so many states are on the sovereign bandwagon!

Sorry dude, Bush already got rid of Posse Comitatus and states rights while he was at it.

....according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont),[the new law] will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.

Public Law 109-364, or the "John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007" (H.R.5122) (2), which was signed by the commander in chief on October 17th, 2006, in a private Oval Office ceremony, allows the President to declare a "public emergency" and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to "suppress public disorder."

Section 1076 of the massive Authorization Act, which grants the Pentagon another $500-plus-billion for its ill-advised adventures, is entitled, "Use of the Armed Forces in Major Public Emergencies."

Section 333, "Major public emergencies; interference with State and Federal law" states that "the President may employ the armed forces, including the National Guard in Federal service, to restore public order and enforce the laws of the United States when, as a result of a natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition in any State or possession of the United States, the President determines that domestic violence has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of the State or possession are incapable of ("refuse" or "fail" in) maintaining public order, "in order to suppress, in any State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy."

Ouch, talk about getting hit in chops with that one crimvelvet! What you just shared with us is some bad news and I'm not kidding. That is dictatorship plain and simple! Now they think because President Obama's predecessor concocted this ugly bill; it is okay for him to carry it out? Our current President is supposed to be an attorney and a specialist in Constitutional law, correct? Why on this green earth would he stand back and allow this bill to remain solvent is beyond me? With his education he should know better! Some change huh? Same old rerun but with different actors.

This is really making me sick at the clear abuses of power by the executive branch and yet congress sits back idly?. If they aren't careful they will be without a job and will be window dressing like the Roman senate of old. What is going on now has happened before in Roman times when Emperor Augustus became autocrat of the Roman Republic. He kept the senate in session as window dressing to subdue the concerns of the people while he called the shots exclusively. Bread and circuses people bread and circuses.

Agreed Jake51, and you are right. Campaigning, Obama bashed Bush...now he could actually do something about it...but no.
As the OP says...the present admininstration..which is the "Obama Administration" has made the contacts with law enforcment agencies.

So...Bush did set it up, passed the baton to Obama!

Unfortunetely what's going on has been for very long. Protoplasmictraveler has a very good handle on it.

In a nut shell, oh..I'm not the nut**, The Roman empire never died. It rolled into the Holy **Roman** Catholic Church. Now the US is the continuation of that Empire. Same ole' foes in the East, and same ole' great game.

I'm not knocking your average everyday catholic, but like most all ***organized**** things, it was hyjacked long ago.

The point in mentioning the above was not to cause sadness/alarm, but to waken. Let's do this thing, and do it right.

We as the masses with this beautiful thing called the Internet can change the world; FOR REAL!

This is what concerns me...And some are not educated yet or choose to keep thnking that somehow this administration will be different than the last...what are they still looking for hope and change? This is what Bush and Cheny did, now Obama is just going forward in the same manner!
