A good guide for any situation is the u.s army field manual, alot of useful info and survival techniques for many different environments. Just search google for it then download.

There are survival and foraging courses you can go on that are specifically aimed at the seaside. The prices aren't too bad on the 1 day course either. Run a search but if you don't find anything, let me know and I'll try and hunt them down again.
