Defence ministers from seven European nations have pledged to continue to support the much delayed Airbus A400M military transport aircraft project. The ministers from Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Turkey and the UK now hope to agree a new contract for the plane by the end of the year.

Good news for Airbus no doubt? but will the UK continue to be involved in this project for much longer given that there are already numerous military projects that are rumored to be facing the axe?
