The title of the hearing -- "Securing the Modern Electric Grid from Physical and Cyber Attacks" -- fails to communicate the magnitude of the danger, and the imperative for urgent corrective action. One thing is sure, though: By the time the lead-off witness, William Graham, is finished testifying, no one present will be under any illusion on either score.

Evidently this hearing is taking place today. How timely considering the cyber attacks recently, the shot to Jupiter, the eclipse, not to mention the unusual weather the world is experiencing. It will be interesting to see if anything comes from this hearing, and if the news channels "inform" the public of its outcome. I'm not holding my breath.
