Here's another poem. Let me know if you like it or what you think. I'm kind of deviating from my original writing style and just messing around so.

~Speed~

Lines buried in the dash
This burning engine screams
I tear across the asphalt
While ripping my life's seams

Mirrored are my actions
As fading out of view
Curls of smoke linger
As I burn rubber through

Bridges collapse behind me
I'm almost there I feel
As I speed into the night
I maneuver behind the wheel

I dodge potential hazards
Avoiding every chance
To satisfy this black hole
I speed past every glance

Looking for the finish
I pay no heed to past
I roar toward the invisible
So I won't suffer last

So many chances I have had
To be happy with myself
But I have left them in the night
Far back in that lost hell

As I come to realize
The finish line is fake
I complete a 180
With the emergency brake

The pedal is floored again
I speed back to that place
Where I took off running
With a bat from hells pace

Back to the hardships
Of that life I commit
My soul to the efforts
To weather all of it

No longer will I run
Or indulge in my fear
No longer will I hide
But conquer each tear

As I frantically fly
Back to home at high speeds
A windstorm behind me
Scatters old deeds

That upon my arrival
Of eager and haste
I hope for forgiveness
For this life I've misplaced
