Pakistan's intelligence has allegedly uncovered a plot to hijack a plane from Pakistan bound for the United Arab Emirates, which placed the
country's 35 airports on high alert. Intelligence reports suggested a group of four to six men wanting to hijack the plane and possibly blow it
up.

"We got the information from our intelligence network, not from a threatening phone call or letter," Major Riaz said. "We don't know what group it
is. We can't say whether it is al-Qaeda."
