Hey all. I'm considering moving to Hawaii in the not so distant future and I was wondering if anyone has any pro's and con's that maybe they would like to share with me. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Locals aren't too friendly to caucasians especially their kids.
If you have kids and can't afford private school, they're going to have a rough time.

The best thing to do would be to rent a local apartment or house for 3-4 weeks before you decide to make it permanent.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply.

Well, I'm in the Military so I'm just looking at it as a pretty enticing option right now. Just me my wife and a newborn. I heard that the cost of living (price of food, etc) is crazy. Is the racism really that blatant? When I visited there for a few days I didn’t really see it.

It will be much harder for your kids than it will be for you. Being on base should help to isolate them from it though. My wife (Caucasian) went to high school in Hawaii and hated every minute of it.
