Iran is one of the few countries in the Middle East that has a civil society where the population can make a difference

The election of someone other than Ahmadinejad would signal that the Iranian public really wants a change from confrontation

if some readers on here can actually set aside there bigotry - have a look at the debates raging (and yes raging) in iran , you see nothing like the passion of this in the ewst , and the bitter fighting between the candidates - makes the US elections look like play school in comparison.
