The military training videos were acquired by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine under the Freedom of Information Act. The PCRM claims the videos, which show the use of monkeys and goats in medical training, are evidence that the military is violating its own animal-welfare regulations.

How can we as a people claim to be "the higher, more compassionate, self aware" if we still do this to animals? It makes me angry that we still do this kind of thing, but I guess I shouldn't be considering what we do to each other and 'detainees' in our care. Its sad and disheartening to say the least. What do you guys think? Is this neccesary to the 'bigger picture'?

After watching the videos on page 9 of the great penguin debate... this is even sadder.
