Suspect ricin uncovered at house

news.bbc.co.uk

Traces of what is thought to be the nerve poison ricin have been found by police at the County Durham home of a suspected white supremacist.
Anti-terrorism officers have been searching the home of Ian Davidson, 41, since his arrest on Tuesday under the Terrorism Act 2000...

The substance was examined in tests by scientists in Scotland and is to be sent under escort to the Ministry of Defence's chemical biological warfare facility at Porton Down for further examination...

Well, well, well. On the very day the British Nationalist Party has been in the news for attracting a significant number of votes in yesterday's English council elections look what turns up: a ricin-wielding 'white supremacist'.

Don't get me wrong - if this guy is guilty as portrayed they should put him behind bars and throw away the keys. Racial hatred is abhorrent. It's just the timing that makes you wonder.

Check out the article - they're talking ricin in a jam-jar for a couple of years. If he was intending to do harm why wait around for so long? Something just doesn't quite add up.

Yes, the timing of the arrest does seem quite suspicious being as the elections were imminent and it had been forecast that the 'right wing' BNP would achieve a relatively high percentage of votes.
Immediately afterwards the BNP were linked with this.

I find it hypocritical that MSM immediately links all extreme right wing activity with the BNP yet constantly tells us that the much more frequent, callous and life threatining activities of Islamic extremists is not representative of all Muslims.
Or maybe more relevant, The Socialist Workers Party openly defend the teachings etc of Marx and Mao who between them were responsible for the murder of literally millions of people, yet they are not castigated, ostracised and constantly mis-represented like BNP and other right wing parties.

Hypocrisy and double standards.

Bunopfield is just up the road from me, I know there are some pretty extremist types in the woolybacks out there with pretty unsavoury beliefs.
I will make some enquiries with some associates and try to find out more details.

A very thought-provoking commentary, FB.

Even those of us who often take commentaries in the MSM with a pinch of salt often fail to see how the professional pundits effectively define the parameters for debate. Credit to you for looking at the issue in the cool light of day, even though there have been elements within the BNP that stand for racism rather than just national unity (ref. secret video recordings of party meetings many years ago) - which you clearly allude to.

You've got me on tenderhooks now. Sounds to me like this could be worthy of ATSnews.com...

The only response I've had from a couple of associates so far has been
"you know what they are like, all talk but they had no real intentions to do anything, just trying to look big".

Don't know though, have had quite a few unreturned calls so far so may get to know more later.

Some of these people, and they are only a very, very small minority, can be capable of committing the most gratuitous acts of violence, but Ricin? Just seems out of character.
Nail bomb or such I could definately believe.
