I don't think the concept of empire applies anymore.

All conquest is carried out financially. This allows the power mongers around the globe to join forces against the working class and democratic/republic style governments.

Corporations and big institutions in general do not favor democratic style governments, and seek to subvert and undermine democracies.

The industrial age gave rise to huge corporations due to the economies of scale required from mass production. This created a new form or aristocracy which exists in a much more shadowy environment, capable of manipulating events for their own favor by deceptive means which allows them to avoid all responsibility for their actions.

This new shadowy form or aristocracy controls most of our planet, known as the third world, and would like to control the rest of the planet. While the most powerful players in this aristocracy are citizens of the first world nations, they are not loyal to those nations.

It is the ability of these corporate aristocrats to exploit the people of the third world that enables them to undermine the rights of the people of the first world, and to rob them of the wealth they create.

Also.. having tripolar economic power as China joins in instead of just the US/EU will mean more money, jobs and explosive global growth in the next decade as the Chinese and Indian grow quickly into consumer economies..

Our evolution will speed up exponentially and I look forward to seeing how the planet looks in fifty years.

Dont get too excited China has already pasted the US as far as the largest polluter and their growth hasnt even really started yet.

Stay tuned on that one. Also pay close attention to central Asia

But to be honest! most of this pollution problems stem for our western world outsourcing of factories and corporations which outsourced to China to get away from pollution regulation here in the western world.

That beside cheap labour and cheap production costs for the Corporation was the main reasons for the outsourcing.

And now they are poisoning the Chinese air, rivers and soils with less to no regulation at all instead.

So is it really fair to blame this rising pollution on the Chinese for being the world's factory and work-shop?

Yeah, because the third world nations have pushed back the hardest against regulations being put into trade agreements that require environmental concerns, as well as regulations that require scheduled improvements in work rights, safety, and wages.

These are countries with centuries of well established class and racial (or tribal, however you want to define it) barriers. These countries have no desire to see human rights improvements for the citizens in their countries.

Yeah sure, if you buy into the official "political BS" story!

But this is not the fault of the thirld world or any developing countries, that's mostly the effects of corporated globalisation and hypercapitalism.

These multinational corporations has no loyalty or flag beside their profits.

Their powerful lobby tells the rulers and Governments of thirld world countries and the UN: if you start to regulate against sweat shops, cheap labour, pollution etc, or in anyway hinder our sphere of influence - we take our investments elsewhere or crash the world's economies through our Banks.

It's that easy, really! - the rest is only politícal rhetoric BS & hypocrisy from corrupted world leaders who are paid by the same corporated lobby and the same corporations.

They screw us all while their corporations can move from continent to continent like a locust plague , consuming human resources, natural resources, spread their pollution until there's nothing left to exploit or destroy.

Then they move again! - and beautiful Africa is the next stop for these evil corporations.

So if we ever are going to make this world a better place, these corporations and their means to survive needs to be dismantled by the people of this world through revolutions or by some kind of a divine intervention.

Only then can can we go back to any honest principles of capitalism as it was meant to be by Adam Smith and others.

Corporated hyper-capitalism is about the exploitation of the world's resources which certainly won't last forever!

Then what? a new system? - or are we gonna take this corporated 'locust' capitalism to space and exploit the galaxy?

Which one? Third world countries are sold on the belief that their problems are caused by the U.S., or first world countries in general, and people in the first world countries are sold on the belief that their problems are caused by third world countries.

But this is not the fault of the thirld world or any developing countries, that's mostly the effects of corporated globalisation and hypercapitalism.

Take out the "thirld world or any developing" part, and you have something.

"But this is not the fault of the any country, it's mostly the effects of corporated globalisation and hypercapitalism."

The people in power in third world nations are as equally willing to sell out the people in their own countries as the people in power in first world nations.

The thing is, people in power in third world nations have even more power over their people than the people in power in first world nations. Who is the richest man in the world now?

As to the topic of the thread, it is the people of the U.S. who give the U.S. its influence and prestige. This has not diminished, just been hijacked and tarnished by the IC's through their over extended influence and warped propaganda.
