I've always been an obsessive news hound. Always.

But now...well, I just can't take it anymore. Its too...real, somehow. Too all-of-a-sudden.

Wars. Plague. Famine. Economopocalypse. Dead babies. Iran and Israel. Sabre-rattling. Japan plunges into deep Depression; rest of the developed world to follow shortly. Record-setting drought. The government up to its neck in torture and murder. States, banks, and major companies functionally bankrupt. And so on and so forth.

It's killing me. All of it. Its somehow eating my brain away.

I never thought I'd say this, but for the first time in over 30 years, I have stopped reading the news. At least for a while. Call me a coward, but I need to step back and take a deep breath.

For the next few days, I'm only going to read about sacred geometry and Russian Icon painting.

Take a break. It will be good for you.
Lower blood pressure, less stress and you won't have a constant feeling that all humans are idiots.

I haven't watched regularly scheduled programming in years.
One of the best decisions I ever made.

It will be good for your brain, and your heart.
Besides, "news" has become somewhat fictional these days.
Spun more that sugar in a cotton candy machine, it's mostly editorial opinion, billed as the real thing.
Come back and post about those Russian paintings when you're done!
