Will the American nationality exist after the Union breaks up?

like will people still consider themselves americans even after the country breaks up? or "californians", "iowans", whatever.

How do you mean? I suppose we have called our selfs that for a while now haven't we? And never meant anything by it. What do you mean breaks up?

If Texas secedes, I will gladly move down there and call myself a Texan or a Confederate. America isn't what it used to be in a LONG time and quite frankly, I honestly feel like this isn't the great country my father talked to me about, and his father talked to him about.
