I found this article that I thought was interesting!

26 Similarities between America and Nazi Germany

Some of the similarities listed I believe are a bit of a stretch and not what I particularly believe, but very interesting none the less!

WARNING: This list was obviously comprised by a religious zealot. I found it very unamusing and slightly offensive.

Here is an excerpt
#1 Hitler outlawed school prayer in Germany. In 1962, The U.S. Supreme Court did the same for us.
#2 Hitler eliminated Christian holidays in the schools first by calling Christmas "Yuletide." Most American public schools now call Christmas vacation a "winter break."
#3 Hitler took Easter out of schools and instead honored that time of year as the beginning of spring. It has likewise become common for schools in America to refer to time off at Easter as "spring break."
#4 Hitler controlled the church using intimidation and threats. A half-century ago, U.S. Senator and Senate Majority Leader Lyndon Baines Johnson, promoted a bill that included an amendment to use the Internal Revenue Service to remove the non-profit status of a church that speaks against the election of any specific political candidate.
#21Calling upon Darwinian evolution, Hitler convinced the German people that purging millions of people was acceptable because of the need to create a pure race; also referred to as eugenics. American students across the board have been educated in Darwinian evolution because the Supreme Court has ruled that creation cannot be taught in our schools-even if both creation and evolution are taught side by side.

I was expecting something with a little more teeth, rather than the ranting of an irate christian fundy who is upset that we aren't as hyper religious as Islamo Fascists.

BTW, Hitler was a strong Christian. (Thanks again, christianity, for producing such wonderful muppets.

Edit: Added #21, because apparently believing in evolution makes you a Nazi.

i know someone is bound to take what i say out of context and use it against me at some later date, but i'm going to say it anyways.

Intelligence does not know good or evil. Hitler was a very intelligent leader. He just chose to use his powers for "evil". I'm not saying America is "good" but to say "America is the new Nazi Germany" is just completely asinine.

This is a prime example of Christian zealots at their worst.

They forgot to put something about the Anti-Smoking Nazi's

constitutionalistnc.tripod.com...

The state performer in antismoking propaganda was Adolf Hitler. As one magazine put it: "brother national socialist, do you know that our Führer is against smoking and think that every German is responsible to the whole people for all his deeds and emissions, and does not have the right to damage his body with drugs?"

"Robert Proctor presents a great deal of evidence that the nazis' exerted massive control over most facets of ordinary citizen's lives. Yet somehow, he never reaches the obvious conclusion that such compulsive regulations, even if arguably well intentioned, ultimately lead to a large scale sacrifice of basic freedoms.
He explains how the nazis greatly restricted tobacco advertising, banned smoking in most public buildings, increasingly restricted and regulated tobacco farmers growing abilities, and engaged in a sophisticated anti-smoking public relations campaign.

Now THAT is a huge similarity!

Cmon man i have a difference in opinion to you so the first thing you do is attack me calling me a 5th grader right after you said " I mean no disrespect but your views"... And what basic human rights am i losing ,according to the The Universal Declaration of human rights all of these things are still here in Canada and i see no evidence of any of it being taken away from me by the federal government. Even myself have issues with the countrys censorship rulings i would not go as far to say its a hit to my human rights and i know there are some things that do happen with police forces abusing power and unlawful activity's but these events are shown in light to the press and we are much better then a lot of other country in the world in that respect. So unless ive missed some things please enlighten me to how im losing "basic human rights" every day?
