Does it make any sense to you that there are people so passionate about attempting to discredit only certain subjects of ATS and hardly touch other content?

To me, they don't seem human, they seem robotic.

"To me" and "they (don't) seem" are personal observations, and really not supported when you think about it. Do you believe that a world-wide website is only visited by people in the same time zone, with the same interests and with the same 'schedules'?

You will hopefully apologize to the specialists of ATS, recognized for their authority (though not necessarily agreed with), who reply to posts within their specialty and who may take offense at disinformation posing as fact.

Sincerity should be admired, not dismissed as 'robotics.'

Look at the specialized topics, and you will find "experts" who regularly post and try to maintain ATS' integrity.

The T & Cs have been honed and fine-tuned for 7 years to minimize junk. Moderators are added to police posts that are not in keeping with ATS rules and philosophy.

The "disinfo" topic itself has received extraordinary attention, with the consensus being that such is not influential and of little consequence to legitimate discussions.

understanding what the Terms and Conditions are and alerting on the violations.

The problem there is that I, and i'm sure a lot of other people out there don't like being snitches. I've had my share of personal attacks in my threads but instead of being a rat, i just replied something along the lines of "do you have anything to add to this conversation?" Do you think that approach is hurting or helping? I have issues with being a narc.

As a wise man once told me, "You're free to do whatever you want. Just prepare for the consequences, and I'm not going to listen to any whining about them." Thanks, Dad.

We're asking members to do what's best for the operation of the board. Mini-modding in a thread only serves to exacerbate the problem. When a mod eventually shows up, either by skimming through or as a result of an alert, anyone taking that tack will be subject to the same sanctions as the original violator.

No one knows who alerts on a thread. You can either help to make it better or persist on making it worse. Your call. Make your choice and take your chances.

People often like to say that they've seen patterns, that theylve identified the culprites that are spreading disinfo, are government informants etc.

Wheres your prrof? Wheres your detailed analysis to make this anything more than the rest of the threads saying 'oh, I've noticed a trend. Uh, disinfo agents etc.'.

Please detail your patterns that you have observed, name and shame...

Seriously .. I doubt there are paid posters.
I know Obama used them during his campaign.
That was admitted.
But for topics like those that are here .... nah.

I'm here a lot too, I am not a ATS jockey, but I am a ATS junkie,

I've been thinking about this, and i just don't think that smearing posts is "their" style. "They" are powerful enough that they could just have one of the MSM outlets publicly attempt to discredit the site, or even shut the site down. It's a bit egotistical at the moment to believe that we represent a major threat to their agenda, whatever it may be. Hopefully, soon we will be, but if we were right now we'd already know it.
