Camera for Ghost Hunting

I was wondering if when taking pictures of inhabited areas what camera is the best. I have a digital camera, but I began to think that perhaps something with film would be better for this type of work. Have you ever had anything show up on a digital? Is is roughly the same amount of occurances as with say a 35mm, more/less? Thank you in advance, I've picked out a few places I would like to try, and just would like to have the best odds of "catching" something.
