Immigrants push for reforms at rallies in U.S.

www.msnbc.msn.com

MIAMI - Immigrants and their families gathered at rallies across the country Friday to push for changes to U.S. immigration policy, but as a swine flu outbreak continued to spread, attendance at some events was smaller than organizers had hoped.

The area hardest hit by the swine flu is Mexico, also the native home of many rally participants. There were no immediate reports of canceled events, but Juan Pablo Chavez, a community organizer for the Florida Immigration Coalition, said he and others were monitoring the situation and in close contact with state health care officials.

I agree with them. We do need Immigration reform. We need to round up every illegal, put them in a giant slingshot, and shoot them back over the border where they can wait until they can legally immigrate into the country.

why does ignorance prevail even here where scrutiny abounds? The people in the US that are asking for reform are doing so so as to remain there LEGALLY. They are asking for the renovation of laws or the creation of new ones that make becoming a US citizen possible. As of now the whole 911 BS has stopped the whole process.

Exactly the same thing is happening in France, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Germany.

Funny thing is when the Turkish Prime Minister went to Germany and during his speech he quoted "German Turkish Citizens", he was interrupted by Angela Mergel and she could be heard correcting him by saying " There is no such thing as a Turkish German citizen, your either German or your not."
Keep in mind this was in front of reporters. I will try to find the link but ill need some time. Either way you all get the point, its up to the politicians to take the stand otherwise its like farting through your mouth.
