ANG budget

I found some interesting figures for the ANG budget on another board. The ANG units got $5.9B in Operations and Maintenance funding (O&M) compared to $18.7B for the Active Duty forces (this is for FY09).

That's a difference of over $12B for the year. With that significantly lower budget, the ANG was expected to fly 95% of the air defense mission, compose 31% of the fighter force, 40% of the tanker force, 29% OSA/VIP/Other, 31% strategic/tactical airlift, 100% C&C, 7% ISR, 6% SOF, and 15% of rescue.
