I need guidance applying avatar from my pics..............

I have managed to upload a pic from photobucket to use as an avatar.
I tried but was advised it needed to be through a media portal???
I put it in my pics, but that's as far as I have been able to go.
Any assistance through this would be greatly appreciated....

Once it's in your pictures you copy the link it gives you to use as an avatar. Then you paste it in the Avatar spot in your Account Settings
