Dubai: More than 300 containers loaded with US-made arms and munitions were delivered to Israel last month, according to a human rights activist.

"A Pentagon spokesperson confirmed to Amnesty International that "the unloading of the entire US munitions shipment was successfully completed at Ashdod on March 22," Wood pointed out.

Unlike some of the other less-factual threads churning out of the rumor mill, this article notes this shipment was confirmed by a Pentagon spokesperson who noted the shipment was made in full- they got all of it.

Israel's long-maintained role in the Military Industrial Complex machine isn't going away anytime soon despite rumors about US-Israel friction. What's pathetic is how much this contributes to US GDP-- weapons are seeming to be one of last reliable exports. Woohoo.

And isn't it odd that we have a massive stockpile of weapons (likely including White Phosphorus) in another country that is accessible to that country? What a special relationship we have with the little ME democracy that could. How neighborly that we share our weapons with them.

Color me suprised.
