I was wondering how NK could go from a failed test to launching a satellite so soon. According to this article, a strong possibility exists that they acquired some much needed technology from Japan.

Japanese technology 'helped launch North Korean rocket'

Japanese technology may have helped North Korea launch what it claims was a satellite delivery vehicle on Sunday, according to defence analysts in Japan and the United States.

The revelation will come as an embarrassment to the Japanese government, which has called on the international community to unite and impose severe sanctions on Pyongyang in retaliation for the launch.

Japan, South Korea and the United States believe the launch was a cover for a rocket that can be used to deliver a nuclear warhead.

Maybe they will find a modified PS3 inside of the rocket remains?

They must have mistaken the range of the wireless controller and that is what caused the failure.

Seriously, where can one find anything that uses microelectronic circuitry that does not contain Japanese technology?

A lot of those "scientists" look like gangsters. They are probably there to keep the real scientists in line.

Now, how ironic would it be if the NKoreans bought the tech from a greedy Japanese company with funds provided to them by the United States?

Sometimes you have to laugh....
