I think most life in the Universe is similar to ours, in being nucleic acid/water/carbon based. There's probably the freak planet that isn't, but at
least in this part of the galaxy I think it's the norm.
So, I think most worlds would:
*Be 1/4 to 4 times the diameter of Earth, the size that would support a liquid surface
*Be either entirely covered in ocean, have continents/islands, or have oases and lakes
*Would have at least the basic classes of microbes, producers (plants), and consumers (animals)
*The basic humanoid form is likely to be common
*Have rain, snow, hail, etc
*Artificial structures would have geometric shapes and be made of hard materials, like our artifacts on Earth
