i,ve been thinking about the end of the world 2012 and all that .
and i thought why dont we build hundreds of thousands of space ships
and shoot off the planet if it happens.

they would have to be ready to go in 30min or so

of course these would need a very special engine which i HAVE designed
but i cannot tell you unless i really know you

just one simple question.

where are you going to go if the earth is gone?

You must be kidding?

Build space ships which we don't have the technology for (well according to NASA anyway) and have them prep for launch in under 30 mins.

With a special engine that you have designed exclusively? Which works 100%?

Hmmm....

You'll need a little more than that friend for a bite out of ATS.

I don't believe the world is ready for disintegration for some time. The end of Kali-Yuga or the Iron Age is more than a quarter million years away. However, the solar system may be dissolved sooner. But, I don't think it's a few years away. Kind of like the TV show space 1999. Personally, I would not leave even if the aliens asked my because the Supreme Being is incarnating here.

Wow LOL.
Is this special engine of yours the warp drive from star trek?

Is the special engine also known as a short bus?

It's a great idea except that we would have no place to go. not enough room to bring any food or ways to replenish the supply and no funding to make all these ships.

His special Engine is probably the one and only "Improbability Drive".

Snap...

I crack myself up.

Will it have a cup holder?

Seriously though I dont think it will be possible to live by making millions of space ships.

[color=gold]Emergency World Evacuation Agency :: EWEA?

Everyone pulls the fingers of the person next to them at once.

It will create a global unity, incredible thrust and a helluva smell taking us out of the path of Niburu. Awesome.

If anyone leaves this planet as an escape, it'll probably be the elites with full knowledge that an extinction level event is immanent. They likely won't need to go very far from earth. Loiter nearby until the earth is habitable again.

Wouldn't you if you had a gazillion bailout dollars?

It's all a conspiracy!

Guys, I think you should probably stop making fun of his engine-innocent 'till proven guilty. Mind you OP, some pictures, or even a short overview of how it works etc. would be nice. Nothing that would allow us to "steal" your idea, just some basic proof of it's existence is something that should be a minimum standard here on ATS.

Also, I doubt the use of "space ships" as you've described them would really help anything, after all, as has already been pointed out, where would we go? I think that the construction of several "generation ships" would be a much better idea, load them with the "best" of Humanity (which raises a whole issue in itself) and off you go- Humans amongst the stars.

1st post. lol. just lol.

O.k, maybe a good idea - but in reality mate, its just not going to work

1, thers 6billion+ people on this planet, so roughly - there should be around 2billion spaceships ready to launch - my guess is that it would take way more than 20/30 years to build that amount.

2. 30 minutes to get people onto something they have to survive on for god knows how long is just not going to wrk.

3. how can u expect people to build these spaceships with the propulsion system, that your not telling any 1?

Building hundreds of thousands of spaceships is a big investment for a ''if''.
Somehow, I highly doubt your spaceship engines building skill.

I just found this topic and don't have time to read the posts, but just last night it occured to me what if there actually were huge motherships already in close proximity of the earth ready to evacuate the earth? Evacuate to where, I haven't a clue. But still, what if? I sort of figured they were "theirs" but either way....

Considering it's hard enough to launch one rocket into space for a couple of astronauts, I'm not sure about rockets for 6 billion people. And where would we go? No place in our Solar System for sure, it'd take years to reach the outer parts of our solar system.

Hi. I'm Ben. I'm 36, 6'3, 300lbs. I like football, music and kittens.

Now, you really know me. Tell me all about these engines.

I think your engine and evacuation spaceships is up there with the thread about making a big chain to the moon and pulling the moon closer to us. Utter genius, I wish you the best of luck with your endeavors and hope that should the terrible day come I will be on one of your craft.
