Cynics might wonder whether the 'plot' / 'arrests' were staged to discourage people from attending the protests.

"Police are insisting there is no danger to the public" is the phrase that got me thinking.

And did you notice the clip of the protest on Saturday looked like a family outing, not tens of thousands of ardent protesters? - which was the reality.
