Nick Cage gets a bad rap. Watch 'Adaptation'. He's really not that bad, he usually stars in over the top movies, and plays an over the top role.

My favourite movie with him is the John Woo movie Face off!!

You guys are forgetting Mr. One Dimensional Keanu Reeves!
This guy is HORRIBLE! He plays a character the same way in every movie he's in!

I know.... the matrix... only because he hardly spoke and had to act shocked or chilled all the time did it work

Kirsten Dunst - awful, truly she turns my stomach.

Nicolas Cage - generally very lazy he'll do any old # BUT, was amazing in Leaving Las Vegas, good in Wild At Heart and damn good fun in Raising Arizona.

Angelina Jolie - generally awful, but pretty good when she's playing someone unhinged.

Anyone in anything by M Knight Shyalaman - especially Signs, a movie so bad I taped over it before throwing it away, just in case anyone found it in the trash - how's that for a humanitarian act?

Kenneth Brannagh - boils my blood.

David Boreanaz - furrowing your brow is NOT acting.

Travolta - lucky in Pulp Fiction, just a ham in everything else.

Keanu Reeves - great for drinking games... you have to do a shot every time he does his "acting" face.

Gwyneth Paltrow (how does she get work??????)
Nicole Kidman (and ugly to boot)
Jennifer Lopez (she sucks any real talent out of the room)
Sarah Michelle Gellar (I loved Buffy, which was hard to do because she was so godawful)

And Wynona Rider. Dear jumping jesus in a three piece yellow suit this woman is the absolute worst actor in the history of all acting. If I ever get the chance to poke her in the eye....I'm going for it.

Most of the female cast members of Heroes....

George Clooney. He pretty much only has two reactions: the smirk and angry face. I think he is hot and I loved him in O Brother, Where Art Thou, but anything before and after that was cringe worthy.

I can't think of any other men right now because I'm still steaming over Wynona

Is it just me, or is the quality of Hollywood acting pathetic in general. And they get so much money and recognition. To do what is among the easiest of all performance arts.

But to add to the thread, for worst actor in a great movie, I nominate Mark Hamill. Truly dreadful in Star Wars.

For worst actress, Angelina Jolie in anything. Watching is like being waterboarded with sulphuric acid. Gack.
