Labour 'double standards' as smoking ban is lifted for G20 world leaders

Labour has been accused of double standards for amending legislation to allow world leaders to use smoking rooms during the G20 economic conference.

Dozens of heads of state, politicians and diplomats will be meeting at the Excel Exhibition Centre in Docklands, London, next month.

It is believed that laws have been changed to get around the smoking ban and provide specialist rooms that the visiting dignitaries can use.

Well here we have a clear example of double standard politics of the ruling elite.
Just bend the laws to make them fit your needs.
I suppose it is not harmfull all of a sudden for all the people serving those world leaders their drinks while breathing in the smoke from their sigars.

Personaly i dont think reasonable passive smoking is more harmfull than breathing in the fumes from cars on a daily basis living in a city, but hey, i didnt make these laws, they did.

Screw that! Next time my H.O.G. chapter rides to a Chilis for an after meeting dinner I'm going to light up. If they can do it why not my club?

What do you expect, it's New Labour who are absolute hypocrites. Then again if they want to smoke, then lets leave them to it. It just increases their chances of getting cancer or some other illness which in itself increases the odds of them departing this planet a lot quicker than normal, which as far as I'm concerned is a good thing for the rest of us.

Absolutly bloody typical!

It just never ends with this crappy govt - double standards or what?

And you can bet they would still slap a heavy fine or liscense revoked for any landlord allowing smoking in there establishment during the period of the G20.

I would like to be the smoke girl for that event, I bet they are so rich they only take a couple of tokes off of their 2500 cigars and snuff them out, I could resell them at half that!!!

Yes but think about all the innocent working people that have to clean up all the glases and trash, and not to forget "antar" our smoke girl for the event

They will all be exposed to all that deadly tobacco smoke.
Where these laws not originaly created to protect those people ?
Not he people going to bars per se, but the people working there have a a right to a clean and save working enviroment.

They prob have the cure for cancer anyway, so a cigarette, or 2 won't do any harm.
Does this law bending mean any dutch can have the slightly more exotic variety of ciggy?

I was in a car accident, maybe more than 10 years ago now. In north london with a relative. Not too sure where as I'm not from london and don;t know it too well.

A daimler or Jaguar undertook us, and well, plainly caused the collision.
After a chase to stop the car, a sheepish mother and daughter of a Jap diplomat pulled over and got out.
At first it was the innocent what's happened act, then we no speak english, the daughter clearly did and probably was her 1st language. The mother did as well but really kept the act up well.
Lets just say, my relative had some money and on principle alone tried to settle the score with lawyers. The whole event was just brushed under the carpet. No insurance payout, liability found or anything on their part - these people just go around, on top of, or even under the law! In the case of the smoking ban they just alter it!
Good to know we live in a democracy eh!

Yeah! you're right, hopefully some of them will stand up for themselves and refuse to work unless these hypocrites abide by the full letter of the law. Give em hell.

On a more serious side.
I posted this thread in the NWO forum because this event is a small indicator of how the NWO elite bends the laws to fit their own needs but jails or fines normal people like myself when they cross their laws.

If the law counts for me it should count just as hard for them, or even more.
World leaders should be an example for the people they serve, not stand above them.

We could easely forget that we hire those people to do work for us, not the other way around.

These smoking bans pop up all around the world all of a sudden, almost as if it where organised from behind the screens.
Over here we surely did not vote for these laws.
The smoke from tobacco is seen as toxic and deadly to innocent passive smokers.
But if you are a world leader you can intoxicate serving personal around you.

If i would do that i would be fined 250,- local credits.

Like i said, this is not an end of the world NWO example, but a clear indicator that the elite doesnt have to live by the laws they created for us.

These guys are the ruling elite, they know what's best for you.
Their smoke probably has miraculous properties. Maybe all the lung cancer patients of the area should consider lining up to go in there and be blessed by their holy smokes.

I think they will be needing a puff of smoke to relieve their worries when they look outside at the masses dying to get at them.

I can see all hell breaking loose at this event.

Hey, maybe they will all go up in smoke

They say that a cigarette takes ten minutes from your life, just think if they are all smoking, that could be ten minutes of world peace...........and quiet at least when they depart from this hellhole.
