On Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, the astonished leadership of the U.S. Congress was told in a private session by the chairman of the Federal Reserve that the American economy was in grave danger of a complete meltdown within a matter of days. "There was literally a pause in that room where the oxygen left," says Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.).

I just finished watching this documentary, and it basically documents everything that happened to led up to the financial crisis we are in now.

Holy... this stuff is like conspiracy theory stuff, but on PBS.

JP Morgan was going to buy out Bear Stearns for 4 dollars a share, then Henry Paulson called them up and said, "No, you're going to buy it for 2 dollars to punish them". That sounds pretty heavy.

Still watching it though, but very conspiracy theory type stuff in there...
